When my peers and I began our biomedical engineering undergraduate degree, we quickly identified a significant gap between students and experts in the field. Many students struggled to determine which area of BME aligned best with their interests and career aspirations.

In January 2024, my peers in engineering, Harleen Khangura, Jeeda Sabri, and I co-founded the University of Waterloo Biomedical Engineering Society, with a focus of bridging this gap and helping students in BME to determine their pathway!

Our Mission: The University of Waterloo Biomedical Engineering Society is an organization for students to connect with faculty, researchers, and industry members in biomedical engineering. Through this club, our goal is to educate more students about biomedical engineering and career possibilities, foster interest in this discipline, provide informational resources, and connect like-minded students with a passion for BME.
